The Exhibit

About

This exhibit is the result of many collaborations across the University of Oregon and with members of the Yasui Family. Sponsored by Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) and UO Libraries, the exhibit contains materials from UO collections, as well as items shared by the Yasui family.

The contribution of photographs, documents, and narrative from the Yasui family were essential to the telling of this story. Thank you Lise Yasui, Tyra Fujikura, Barbara Yasui, and Amy Cheshire. Unless otherwise attributed, content is courtesy of the Yasui Family.

Ben Murphy, University Archivist and Historian, and Emily Moore, Instruction and Outreach Archivist, curated this exhibit, but received support, input and feedback from a committee convened by University Housing. Thank you to Kevin Hatfield for organizing this committee.

We would like to thank our colleagues in UO Libraries for their generosity of time and insight: Kate Thornhill and Franny Gaede for technology consultation and web development support.
